Safety model
The safest marketplace flow is structured before the sale: verified sellers, clear media roles, accurate geological attributes, transparent fees, tracked shipping, payment holds where enabled, and an evidence-based dispute process.
For buyers
- Review seller status, listing media, certificates, measurements, condition notes, locality claims, treatment notes, and shipping rules.
- Keep all communication and payments on platform when platform protection is expected.
- Document package condition before opening if there is visible damage.
- Open a dispute quickly when an item is missing, damaged, materially different, or suspected to be counterfeit/misrepresented.
For sellers
- Use accurate title, description, media roles, locality, treatment, condition, and certificate data.
- Pack fragile specimens with internal movement control, outer box strength, and insurance for high-value orders.
- Upload tracking and respond to buyer/admin questions during review.
- Do not ask buyers to move protected transactions off platform.
Payment holds and payout release
Where configured, buyer funds may be authorized or captured through a payment provider and held until shipping, delivery, dispute-window, or manual-review rules are satisfied. Final release rules must be configured by the site operator and payment provider before production launch.
Admin review
Admins can review seller submissions, media, risk flags, payment holds, shipment records, disputes, audit logs, and user history. High-risk items should require stronger proof, certificate review, identity checks, or manual approval before publication.
Limits
Platform tools reduce risk but do not guarantee authenticity, value, legality, safe handling, or delivery outcome. Expensive, rare, dangerous, or export-sensitive items should receive professional verification.
